Vic Roads requires that every learning under the age of 21 needs to complete a minimum of 120 hours of supervised driving. This supervised driving experience must include at least 20 hours of night driving. This ensures you gain experience in various conditions, improving your skills and confidence.

Lessons typically last between 1 to 2 hours and are conducted in your local area. I aim to vary the driving routes as much as possible, giving you exposure to different environments and a wide range of driving conditions.

How long is the practical drive test?

The practical drive test typically lasts around 30 to 40 minutes and is divided into two stages:

Stage 1 assesses your basic driving skills, including starting, stopping, turning, and awareness of surroundings.

Stage 2 tests your ability to handle more advanced scenarios, such as navigating busy intersections, changing lanes, and responding to traffic conditions.

Overall, the test evaluates your understanding of road rules and safe driving practices.
